ABOUT
DUCK HOUSE UNIVERSITY
Duck House University
The School of Art and Development
Origin Story
Duck House University is not an "official" college or university in the traditional sense. It is not an accredited institution that offers degree programs. Instead, it is a for-profit development house of transformation that is dedicated to infusing art, entrepreneurship, and development systems to empower non-traditional learners. Our mission is to help individuals master their skills, unlock their creative gifts, and achieve dominance in their lives and industries by deploying our D.U.C.K. framework, Develop, Unlock, Create, Knock.
The true origin of Duck House University began when CEO Keeyon L. Howard was inspired by the legendary story of Acres of Diamonds, shared by Earl Nightingale. The story tells of an African farmer who sold his land in search of diamonds, only to discover that the very land he left behind was rich with hidden treasure. Russell Conwell used this lesson to raise funds and establish Temple University, proving that greatness and opportunity are often already within us, but we may lack the knowledge, understanding of how to search within ourselves to identify our diamonds.

Leadership
Father
Micro Story
I was the underdog my entire life and I found a way to win at every level. There are two tools that I always had in every phase of my life which were my belief in God and my ability to create art. Growing up in Pasadena California, I was always exposed to the most positive and negative versions of everything life could offer. In some instances, I engaged in both sides of positive and negative activity and saw both consequences and rewards. I think the impacts that both positive and negative things had on me and others are what shaped my ambition to be great though.
Art
No matter what I did in life though, art was there. Once my football career ended, I was still drawing and painting. When I fell into dark times, art was there. I later realized that art was teaching me so many lessons on personal development that I needed to take it seriously. I didn't grow up reading books but when I was introduced to a book titled Incognito by David Eagleman, my life changed and my perspective about reading changed.
Darkness
It still wasn't until I faced a very dark time of unknowing what life would bring and my relationship with God was, that I realized art was not enough to stand alone, and personal development was not enough to stand alone. I was stuck for a while. I was still reading, and still creating art, but I was also still in the same position.
Duck House University
One day I began studying everything about myself and came to my nickname DUCK. I began searching for meanings of ducks and I searched for 28 days nonstop reading so much literature, studies, religious beliefs of ducks, and watching video education about the meaning of ducks. On day 28 I came across a sentence mid article that read, “The Duck is considered a freedom bird of adaptability because it can travel on land, on water, and through air.” I said to myself, The Duck Means Freedom. It was at that moment I fused art with development and created Duck House University in thought.
Why
I created Duck House University to ignite the conversation of how important Art & Development is together. Art has so many connections to development that are overlooked. It's the reason why you have starving artists. You have a skill but don't have a framework of development. Its why you have at-risk students. They have overwhelming energy but don't have positive outlets to use that energy beyond sports in certain areas.
DUCK House University uses art and creativity as the driving force for development by deploying coaches to individuals and creating proven systems and frameworks to ensure powerful results.
Where
Now, currently living in Missouri, I am determined to spread the awareness about DUCK House University and expand to various communities, and entities by offering this program. The ideal individual for coaching is the person stuck at start. The position right before the start present the most mental challenges and causes many to not approach their starting line. We are here to change that. We Develop. We Deliver. We dominate
WE CAN EXPERIENCE TRANSFOMRATION THROUGH ART AND CREATVITY!
