The Dream

The Process
Building dreams requires assessments of foundational skills, developing powerful outcomes, proving concepts, and a deploying a powerful plan of action to bring the dream to life. Building dreams also requires breaking the foundation of limiting beliefs, destroying negative generational systems, and decimating fixed mindsets.
When I began the journey of Duck House University, I knew it would take major faith, major action, and a NO DOUBT mindset against all obstacles and barriers. I started this journey in a small classroom of a middle school that was converted to office spaces. Business grew and I needed a larger space which would lead me to the current Duck House Headquarters. I started as a renter of the building and quickly realized that some sweat equity was going to be needed to bring it to life. The floor was a main issue of concern which was tackled first.

Sweat Equity
Without any experience with construction, flooring, building materials or anything of that nature, I could not let it stop me from building my dream. A part of breaking the foundation of limiting beliefs is taking a leap of faith, researching solutions, and taking action. The most important key that I acquired during this time was understanding that my dream is my responsibility, and it was not the responsibilities of others to help me. I spent countless hours alone with mistakes, learning, doing, and repeating that sequence alone just figuring it out.  Sweat equity is a long game strategy that requires patience and understanding of the process and building a system.

The Purchase
When sweat equity meets opportunity, ownership happens. After putting in about a year of sweat equity as a renter of the property, I was presented an opportunity to purchase the property. This purchase represented more than ownership. It also represented developing a new standard, the start of a portfolio, the start of the Duck House Brand, opening up opportunities for others, creativity in the community, manifested faith, endurance through the process, the importance of sweat equity, and most of all, legacy.

The Dream in Motion
The sweat equity continues but the dream is in motion. Duck House Headquarters is currently being furnished with equipment, artwork, supplies, interactive stations, furniture, and everything that will welcome community, students, and coaches. Duck House is a 3,000 sq. ft space that will function with 2 sides. 1 side is dedicated to the art shop, apparel, materials, screen printing stations, and production equipment. Side 2 is dedicated to classes, workshops, paint parties, lounging, and art shows.
Frameworks
Sweat equity goes beyond physical energy and manifestations of effort. Psychological equity is equally important to achievement. Investing in mindset, systems of development, and frameworks are essential to creative sustainability. Creativity has unknowingly been the driving force of my personal development for many years without an intentional pursuit. The pursuit became more powerful when I used my artistic expression as a force for personal development which served as the foundation of the Coaching program. Many hours have been spent developing frameworks and systems for our desired clients. Our concepts have been proven through research, and real results.
